Plasma physics: kinetic processes in turbulent plasmas, nonlinear processes in the Earth's ionosphere, modeling of planetary magnetospheres and exospheres, decay instabilities in laser-produced plasmas.

Main results:
Theory of relaxed state of turbulent plasma and processes of anomalous transport. Kinetic theory of fast particle dynamics in turbulent plasma. Nonlinear theory of stationary state of striations (plasma density depletions) developed in ionospheric modification. Theory of Stimulated Raman Scattering in the presence of ion acoustic density fluctuations in inhomogeneous laser-produced plasmas. Numerical simulation of energetic charged particle dynamics in the Mercury magnetosphere.

Current interests:
Nonlinear phenomena in the Earth's ionosphere, processes in laser-produced plasmas (parametric instabilities), particle dynamics in magnetospheres.
